Dear members,

With great sadness I report the passing of Melbourne Composers’ League member, Ralph Middenway. Unfortunately, I was informed by a family member by email when sending out courtesy subscription reminders and was saddened to discover that he had passed away last year on 22 August 2018 at the age of 85.

Although I had never met him and only had email correspondence with him, I appreciated his enthusiasm for composition and his delight in being a Melbourne Composers’ League represented composer, even though it was for only a very short time (3 years).
