MCL Call for Scores – Music for Flute

Dear MCL member,

Music for Flute Call for Scores:

Music for flute (including flute, piccolo, alto flute, bass flute contrabass flute and other low flutes), didjeridu, viola and harp and subsets including trios, duos and solos. The performers are Peter Sheridan, Namatjira Morgan (didjeridu), Ceridwen Davies and Jacinta Dennett. Preference will be given to works of around eight minutes.

Please include date of composition, length, and a programme note, as well as an indication if you want your piece to be a part of the Japan Federation of Composers Exchange concert, or not. Postmark for scores:
July 31st, 2016.

This is to be an exchange concert that has been initiated by the Japan Federation of Composers. Our part of the exchange concert will take place in Novemebr 2016 and the Japanese concert will take place in Tokyo
in March, 2017. We are looking at TWO possible concerts, one of which will be the works that will travel to Tokyo, and one that will be independent of this. If you want to be a part of the exchange concert, you have to be willing to self-fund travel to Tokyo, where the organisers there will pay for a hotel for at least a couple of nights.

Regards

Andrián Pertout (Secretary)
