Residency Opportunity for Composers and/or Sound Artists

The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) is now accepting applications for the 2019 Wachmeister Award to be given to a professional composer and/or sound artist.

The award includes a fully-funded residency of up to 30 days at VCCA, an honorarium of $1,000, and reimbursed travel expenses of up to $750. The total value of the award is $7,150. A VCCA residency includes an individual studio, a private bedroom with semi-private bath, and three prepared meals each day in a community of 25 professional visual artists, writers, and composers.

You can download an announcement here <Wachtmeister Call-2018 > about this opportunity that I hope you’ll share with your constituency.

The deadline for applications is September 15, 2018.
