ELBOW ROOM FESTIVAL – St Stephen’s Anglican Church, 360 Church St Richmond

Two concerts of music by contemporary Australian composers featuring chamber music, electroacoustic & video.

Both concerts: $30 or $20 concess.
Single concert: $20 or $15 concess.

Featured composers are: Christina Green, David Henderson, Colin McKellar, Julian Cafarella, Jacqui Rutten, Emili Rackemann, Livia Judge, Dindy Vaughan, Jacob Taurins, Simon Charles, Alan Holley, Gary Butler, Paul Moulatlet, John Grant, Johanna Selleck, William Kimber.

Performers are:

Flute – Livia Judge, Johanna Selleck
Mezzo-soprano – Jacqui Rutten

The long-held tradition of the Melbourne Composers’ League Elbow Room concerts continues at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, 360 Church St Richmond on Sunday 23 June. Concert One begins at 2.30pm and Concert Two starts at 4.00pm. The Elbow Room concerts are a much-loved part of the Melbourne music scene. The concerts are not formally curated and are open to all styles of music, providing a valuable opportunity for composers to present their newest works, experiment and test out ideas or re-visit older works in a friendly and conducive atmosphere. The concerts are known for their broad and interesting array of new music by local composers. For audiences, the diverse mix offers something for everyone to enjoy or be surprised and challenged by.
