The Melbourne concert will take place on Saturday\, 4 June\, 2022 at the Church of All Nations (CAN) in Carlton\, Melbourne\, Australia\, and will feature Johanna Selleck (flute)\, Carla Blackwood (French horn)\, Helen Bower (violin)\, and Danaë Killian (piano) presenting compositions by Ajet Çekiçi\, Dorian Cene\, Eve Duncan\, Houston Dunleavy\, Alan Holley\, Enis Mullaj\, Andrián Pertout\, Johanna Selleck\, and Silvia Simons. The concert is supported by the Albanian Australian Community Association and Shepparton Albanian Society. The reciprocal Albanian event (which was originally planned for March\, 2020) took place on Monday\, 18 October\, 2021 at the Salla ‘Çesk Zadeja’\, Universiteti i Arteve Tiranë (University of the Arts-Tirana) as part of the 2021 Balcan Contemporary Music Festival\, 9 October – 18 November\, 2021 in Tirana\, Albania. DESCRIPTION:The long-held tradition of the Melbourne Composers’ League’s Elbow Room Concert Series continues this year with a mini- festival of two concerts sessions\, in the superb surroundings of the Montsalvat Barn Gallery\, in Eltham. The Elbow Room concerts provide a valuable opportunity for composers to present their newest works and are known for their broad array of experimental\, as well as more traditional music by local composers\, including acoustic and electronic works. These two concerts include new works for Trumpet\, Voice\, Piano\, Strings\, Electronics\, Flutes\, Percussion\, and Tarhu.
